Bo-Bunny Jazmyne

Shawna took this picture of me while we were having fun at our winter retreat, and when I saw the new Jazmyne line, I knew that picture and paper would make a perfect pair. Not only are the colors of this line some of my favorites, but the hues are so rich and deep with just enough bling to make a girl happy. I keep thinking about this paper being used to a cover an art journal or a special photo album gift of some sort. I think it's the perfect choice for upcoming Mother's Day projects.

A couple of cards that were quick to put together, but still so elegant and beautiful.
I'm definitely planning on keeping a little stock of this paper at home.

"My Minds Eye" So Sophie Collection

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!!!  Loved this collection!!!!  My grandson and daughter had recently visited so being the scrappy Grandma that I am, what did I do (other then cook & love on my grandson alot?) ... I took LOTS! of pictures.  So when I was given these collections to scrap I was excited to get to work.  All papers are part of the So Sophie (My Minds Eye) collection.  On the "Once in a Lifetime" and the "Fresh Air' layouts I used transparencies and various embellishments that are part of the collections.

The first "Once in a Lifetime" was part of the So Sophie Brothers & Sisters Collection.  I used a sketch that Danielle Calhoun had posted on Facebook, Friday April 9, 2010.

The second "Imagine", again, is part of the So Sophie collection.  I liked that I could put one picture on the LO that captured the essence of the patterned paper.

The third "Fresh Air", part of the So Sophie "We are Family & Loop-De-Loop" collection.

The card for a teacher was 'scraplifted' out of the Cards, March 2008, p110 by Cathy Schellenberg.

Chicken Noodle Jillibean Soup. Yum-O!

Jillibean Soup has done it again. Their Chicken Noodle collection is super duper adorable! It's farm-a-licious. And it fits great with photos of my kids on the family farm.

This layout that I created with their papers is my new favorite!

I used raffia and string to create the look of "stubble" at the bottom of the page. The wheat stalk on the right side of the page I hand drew using pens and ColorBox fluid chalk. And to emphasize the cute farm scene on the pattern paper I cut out the barn and tractor/trailer and used dimensional adhesive to literally make it stand out.

Do you have any farm themed photos or projects where you could use this adorable paper?

Frame Ups-- 10th Anniversary

Remember these? In celebration of their 10th Anniversary, My Minds Eye has re-released some new designs of these cute little gems.

Paper Pals has been selling My Minds Eye since Karen started the business 8 years ago! DT Kristi even remembers getting some Frame Ups at the store when her daughter was just a preschooler. And now we get to play with them again!

The Design Team was challenged with using several of the newly released Frame Ups. It was a big challenge-- and I think the ladies were super creative with these ultra cute products. Here's some layouts they created:

One by Leah with "Happy Campers":
Krist's layout using "Hanging Out":

Two layouts from Judy with "Pool Time":

Angela used "School Days" on two layouts:

And Anita made a layout with "Skate":

Pretty darn CUTE, eh?

Here are some cards by the design team using more of the Frame Ups:

So, which cute little package will you choose? Paper Pals has 12 sets of them!

Old World Cabbage

Jillibean Soup is making a play to be a new favorite of mine. I love the boldness of their colors and patterns and I found it really easy to coordinate their papers for this layout.

Like Suzy said, sometimes you just know the story you're going to tell when you see the paper, and that was certainly true for me. The Old World Cabbage line gave me a nostalgic feeling that I reflected in the story of my daughter abandoning her favorite childhood hat.

And then of course I made some cards.

Love the boldness of this one.

Love the whimsy of this one.

... and working with this great line of paper!

Fancy That!

Here are a couple of gift boxes and cards I made using the Decorative Packing Tape from Fancy That! It's just like a roll of regular packing tape, only WAY more beautiful; the tape itself is colored and the designs you see in white are clear. I think it would be cool to decorate boxes you're going to ship. How fun would it be to send someone special a fancy box in the mail?
You might even brighten the day of the clerk in the mail room.

Scrapping Sports & More... How about Farming???

When I first saw this paper and the stickers/die cuts that paired with it, I knew the perfect picture. Actually, being a farmers wife .... I've plenty of pictures, but this one picture had been waiting for 'that' paper. This line of patterned paper & embellishments are from Scrapping Sports & More! "Down on the Farm".

This picture was taken the morning after we had finished harvest and my husband was driving away from the field. Keep watching our blog to see more of what I've done with this line on some cards I've created. Happy Farming ... and scrapping!

My Minds Eye - Lil Robots

One thing I've discovered as a scrapbooker is that I L.O.V.E. paper and change my mind quite often on what my favorite paper to work with is.  Having two grandsons, it doesn't seem like I can get enough of the 'boy' papers that are out there.  The My Minds Eye - Lil Robots paper ROCKS!  The accessory die-cuts were alot of fun to use with the paper collection.
