Photo Challenge!!!!!

Hey all you fellow DT members,

I want to challenge you all to take photos with you camera that you normally wouldn't take. I have been playing with my camera and taking some portraits and I love it. Some turn out great and some not so good but with every photo I learn something. I recently did a wedding and I have gotten some great feedback from the photos I took. Since photos are at the center of one of our greatest passions; lets play and see what we are all capable of doing with our cameras. Above are a couple samples of what I have been up too.

Have fun, take photos, enjoy the moments!

Baby Powder---By Imaginisce

Having little kids I had a great time with this line. I love the colors! They are so baby but they have that touch of green that makes them a little more hip. I used Bazzill solid color cardstock in 12x12 and 8 1/2X11 along with the printed papers from the Baby Powder Imaginise line. This product line is in the Moscow store. I also went outside of my "Normal" and painted with blue paint on the 2 page little boy layout around the pictures.

Adornit It!

I had a lot of fun playing with this line from Carolee's Creations. I love the colors! They are fun, bright and very summery. The top picture I inked the edges with brown ink, added a strip of ribbon, a strip of patterned papper, a strip of cream paper, mounted the photo, added some flowers and bling I came up with "Beautiful". The second project is 4 cards that I made from the lines coordinating stickers. The third is half patterned paper half bazzil with a strip of the bazzil wavy die cut to seperate the two. I challenged myself to use only what Karen provided in my packet and besides a few buttons and bling I was able to do that. All items used on these layouts are avaliable in the Moscow store.

Canvas Challenge Part II

This is my mom's Mother's Day gift. I took a 9x13 canvas, painted my kids hand prints with making memories paint, added a scallop circle, some buttons, glitter paint, and a poem about being a mom and here is the final project! She loved it and it took no time at all; under 30 minutes without drying time.

Thanks London! My Canvas Challenge.....

This is my Canvas Challenge Project. Thanks London, I had a great time. This is for my sister. The paint and stamps are from Making Memories and the stickers are 7 Gypsies, I also used the scallop chipboard circles for the smaller stickers and painted the edges to match. The saying above the big S sticker is a quote that says "A sister is a forever Friend". This is a great way to creat home decor. I had a blast!

Fun Baby Papers in Moscow

I had a lot of fun with the new "Born to be Wild" papers from Momenta. They are not you typical baby papers in pastels and cutsie graphics. They were a ton of fun! I loved that they were bright/bold colors.

Music Challenge

I just created this page with this picture that I absolutely adore of Ry. She was being little miss sassy pants, but she looks totally innocent. I used the words to "I hope you Dance." I hope she does everything in life that she wants and I hope that she never sits in the shadow of someone else. I want her to Dance, to do things without reservation, to live everyday, just as she does right now at 3!

1st half of April Design Team, Sharon Ann Timeless Collection

I had an amazing time with this collection! I have been going through a rough time and this kit allowed me to think about my family and what is really importnat to me. The stickers allowed me to make tons of cards, a mini album, and the 12 x 12 layout. Very fun collection!

Cardstock Only Challenge

Ok, this was a hard one for me! I had to go back a long ways to find some layouts. After I did I realize I need to do this more. They are no hassel! The first two are a 2 page layout that used primary colors to accent the photos and the other layout is black and white cardstock with black ink rubbed over the white to create the effect.

Super Fun Spring Layouts and Cards

I had so much fun with this kit!!!! I loved all of the fun spring colors and Easter papers. The Easter print papers were from Creative Imaginations, the solid papers were Bazzill, and the felt frame and photo corners were from Fancy Pants Designs. I had an absolute blast working with all of the products in these layout and cards.

Jen's Show and Share!

I love to alter wooden frames! They are so much fun and you can customize them any way you want. Sometimes you have that perfect photo in mind and a customized frame makes it all the more special. This is also very inexpensive to do; often the whole project is just a couple of dollars depending on the frame size. I have found that covering the front surface of the frame with a paint on adhesive works best for adhering paper and other materials.
I hope you all enjoy the design team blog; I am INCREDIBLY excited to be a part of such a great group.
Happy Scrappin!
