I have been using Becky Higgin's Project Life system of memory keeping for about 3 years now. I absolutely LOVE it; what I haven't loved is having to order all of my product on-line. I'm a tactile person and really need to get my hands on a product before I commit to buying it. So imagine my delight when Paper Pals received a big old shipment of We R Memory Keeper's Album Made Easy product. I was given the Tangerine Journal Cards and a couple of page protectors to play with and look what I came up with.
Each pack contains 200 journaling cards in 2.75"x 3.75" and 4"x6", the perfect size to slip into the pockets. And there are an array of different designs in each pack, which is awesome for me because I like to mix and match and cut things apart and put them back together again! In the layout above I cut out the "love" and "laugh" circles as well as the journaling spot and then stapled them on.
I also did some altering on this page; I cut some cards apart to make a border on the top and middle photos and a journaling spot on top of the bottom photo, again attached with a stapler. It really doesn't get much simpler than this. The only products I added to these pages were an alphabet stamp set, ink, a stapler and some glue, which are everyday supplies for most crafters.
I also made a couple of cards using two small and two large journaling cards. Again, I just added some ribbon, an alphabet stamp, ink and glue.
If you've been on the fence about this type of memory-keeping system, I would encourage you to give it a try. The 200 card journaling packs are so inexpensive, only $10, that even if you ended up not liking the system per se, you could use them on your scrapbook pages or make great, coordinated card sets as gifts for your friends and family.
P.S. My layouts and cards are up in the store if you're a tactile person like me :)
